Privacy Policy

Scope. This page covers the website — this marketing site and the beta signup form on it. The StrokeVision mobile app handles considerably more sensitive data (your videos and the body-position data derived from them) and is covered by a separate privacy policy shown in the app before you record anything. Nothing described here touches your videos, because the website never receives them.

The short version

1. What we collect when you just visit

We measure how the site is used so we can tell which parts explain the product and which do not. This is anonymous and aggregate — it identifies pages and patterns, not people.

Usage analytics

We record, for each visit:

Approximate location and device details are derived from the ordinary network request your browser makes; we do not ask for or receive precise location, and we never request GPS access.

What we deliberately do not do here

We do not act on the browser "Do Not Track" signal. It is not an agreed standard, most analytics tools ignore it, and honouring it in one of our two measurement tools but not the other would give us two sets of numbers that disagree for reasons unrelated to our visitors. If you would rather not be counted, a content blocker will stop our analytics and the site works normally without it — see Your choices below.

Analytics requests are served from strokevision.app rather than from an external analytics domain. This is a privacy improvement, not a workaround: your browser is not made to connect to a third-party host while you are reading a page that contains a signup form.

2. What we collect when you join the beta list

When you submit the beta form, we store:

Signups are stored privately and are not publicly accessible. We do not store your IP address with your signup, and we do not ask for a password, a payment method, or any other detail at this stage.

Emails you will get

Submitting the form triggers a confirmation email to you, and an alert to us so we know someone signed up. Your email address is shared with our email provider purely to deliver those messages. Joining the beta list means we may email you about the beta — you can ask us to stop at any time and we will remove you from the list.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small number of providers to run the site, and they only receive what they need to do their job:

ProviderWhat it doesWhat it receives
Vercel Hosts the website and stores beta signups Standard web request data, and the contents of the signup form
PostHog Usage analytics for the website The anonymous usage events in section 1 — never your name or email address
Resend Sends the confirmation and alert emails Your email address and name, to deliver the message

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, safety, or users. If StrokeVision is ever acquired or merged, information may transfer as part of that transaction; we would say so here before it took effect.

Our analytics never receives your identity. The events described in section 1 carry behaviour only — that a form was opened, that a section was reached. Your name and email address are kept separately in the private signup record and are never attached to an analytics event.

4. How long we keep it

5. Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information — including access, correction, deletion, and objecting to certain processing. Write to us and we will honour them.

6. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. International visitors

We operate from the United States, and our providers process data there. If you visit from outside the US, your information is transferred to and processed in the US.

8. Changes

If we change what we collect, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Meaningful changes to how we handle beta signups will be sent to the address you gave us.

9. Contact

Questions, deletion requests, or anything that looks wrong: hello@strokevision.app.

If anything on this page does not match what the site actually does, that is a bug, not a policy. Please tell us and we will fix it.

The rules for using this site are in our Terms of Use.
